Incident reporting is a resource for those concerned about the total well-being of individuals with disabilities. It is important to report any alleged, suspected or actual occurrence when any individual with a disability is being mistreated.
The Investigative Agent reviews and investigates all reports of abuse, neglect, or other Major Unusual Incidents (MUI) that may have an adverse affect on the health, safety, and welfare of individuals with Developmental Disibilities. The Investigative Agent works with local law enforcement officials and/or the Department of Job & Family Services’ Children Services Unit to assist with the investigation and prosecution of individuals, who are suspected of abuse and/or neglect of individuals who have disabilities.
The Investigative agent also reviews and provides follow up for any Unusual Incidents (UI), which is an event or occurrence involving an individual that is not consistent with routine operation, policies, procedures, or the care or individual service plan of the individual, but is not a Major Unusual Incident.
