The decision on which entity provides transportation services is dependent upon where the individual lives, the choice of the individual and the cost of the service. The Erie County Board has agreements or contracts with the various providers to insure payment for ridership of eligible individual.

Transportation services are provided to insure people are able to get to and from work, medical appointments, grocery and other essential services or activities.

The Erie County Board of Developmental Disabilities also collaborates with Serving Our Seniors to provided coordinated transportation services for individuals eligible for their services. This collaboration has all but eliminated the duplication of effort of the two agencies and provided a better cost effective service for Erie county citizens.
