Early Intervention Program Overview ( Birth-2)

disabled child on a therapy scooterEarly Intervention (EI) services are provided to children ages birth through 2 who have, or are at-risk of having a developmental delay. After permission is received, a family/child assessment is completed to determine eligibility. Services are provided as described by the child/family Individualized Family Services Plan (IFSP)

Services are individualized to meet the unique needs of each family and child and are available in the family /caregiver home, or center. Home-based and therapy services are available year round. Center-based toddler classes are available to children between the ages of 2-3 years as a transition to more center-based formal programming. Toddler classes are offered on a typical school year schedule. EI services are provided under the guidelines set by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities; 5123:2-1-04.
