Nominations are Open for the ECBDD Building Bridges Awards!
We are excited to announce that nominations are now open for the Building Bridges Awards, which will be presented at our Annual Recognition Banquet in March of 2027. These awards are one of the highlights of the year, celebrating the incredible people we serve and those who make a difference in the DD community.
This is your opportunity to share those inspiring stories and recognize someone deserving!

- Awards:
- Above and Beyond Award: Recipients of the Above and Beyond Award are recognized for their integrity, creativity, and flexibility in providing direct services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Nominees will demonstrate a strong commitment to going above and beyond for individuals.
- Betty Rinderle Award for Success: Recipients of the Betty Rinderle Award for Success are individuals served by the ECBDD recognized for their personal achievement and exceptional growth. Nominees will have a success story about how they have achieved personal accomplishments through hard work, learning, or physical well-being.
- Community Partner of the Year Award: Recipients of the Community Partner of the Year Award are recognized for promoting inclusion and opportunities to individuals with developmental disabilities. Nominees should be agencies or organizations that are committed to building partnerships in Erie County for an inclusive community.
- Steve Lippert Advocacy Award: Recipients of the Steve Lippert Advocacy Award are recognized for their outstanding commitment and dedication to individuals with developmental disabilities. Nominees will have made a positive impact in Erie County by encouraging and supporting people with developmental disabilities.
